After the 2008 being so far the most hectic year for MoonMadness with the debut album "All In Between" release in Finland and following live shows from clubs to stadiums around Finland, in surface the 2009 seemed to begin in somewhat slower pace. However, after the imported copies of the album had picked growing amount of interest in Japan during the previous autumn, in beginning of the year negotiations for releasing the album were at full speed. As a result "All In Between" with two bonus tracks was released in Japan on SoundHolic label in May 2009.
Also in the beginning of the year time was spent with song writing, so a few new numbers were introduced to the live set on club dates in late spring and summer. In autumn MoonMadness supported Zero Nine, the hard-rockers of North, for shows in Tampere and capital Helsinki. Between those was slotted the first trip out of home country as the band performed in St Petersburg, Russia in October (see the feature below). At least on the live front, one of the year's definite highlights took place in following month at sold-out Club Teatria in Oulu as MoonMadness opened the show for the legendary British rockers Deep Purple.

As the modern times requires, shooting a music video was in agenda as MoonMadness is about to release their debut album "All In Between". The chosen song for the occasion was an up-tempo rocker "Shot Through The Wing". As often in MoonMadness camp, the DIY-approach was used again. Turkka was put in charge by directing and writing the script which along the "playing live" sections also included the essential ingredients of "film noir" such as gambling, violence, abuse of certain stimulants and a femme fatale.
Music Bar Sputnik in Tampere kindly let their premises in use. As the filming equipment and crew were only available for a single day and Sputnik is open daily, it meant that the shooting day would be long and it would start very early.
So around sunrise the film equipment and MoonMadness' stage set were hauled to upper floors (happily this time the elevator functioning) and hectic setting up began. The infamous phrase of digital world "Oh, this has never happened before" was heard for starters (and luckily the only time) but soon things were running smoothly in a professional manner, thanks to the devoted film crew.
Miming the "playing live"-scenes to sound of distorted ghetto blaster (the noise level was to kept at minimum during daytime due to neighbouring offices) made it hard for everyone to keep a straight face. The dramatized scenes were performed by band members with appearances of the crew accompanied with other friends and relatives. Tongues were kept firmly in cheeks.
The day flew by fast, everyone was having a good time and everything planned was in the can even before scheduled time. After everything was quickly packed and loaded out from Sputnik, the team headed for some outdoor shooting.
Again one of the immortal phrases, "there's plenty enough" was heard, only moments before the van carrying MoonMadness' gear ran out of fuel.
"Oh, the glamour" said Heidi, looking at her diamond-adorned fingernails while pushing the van.
